Various Image types

JPEG - is short for Joint Photographic Expert Group. It is often used in compressing images for web publishing purposes. It is a lossy compression technique commonly used in color images. Although it can reduce file size of images, it will lose some details during compression.


GIF - is short for Graphics Interchange Format.
It is a bitmap (an image file format used to store digital images-pixels) file format use in the World Wide Web. It is commonly used for small animations and icons.


PNG - stands for Portable Network Graphic. PNG is better than GIF due to its compatibility of supporting millions of different color.

The term 'lossy' means that the file of images will lose its details.

If you have not already realised, it's a photo manipulation between a raccoon (well it's actually a red panda) and a tiger.
Wouldn't it be amazing if such creature exist?? :D

Doing this in IT, I learned to grasp the techniques used to cut out images by using the pen tool and I learned to manipulate picutures using photoshop.

My favourite part about completing this task is that I get to play around with the pictures and come up with some interesting results.

Animals

Did this for one of the task in IT. Our task was to cut images of animals and placed them in a new background. I ended up taking longer to do my task because my photoshop froze on me along the way OTL..and I didn't save it...
I play around with the color balance and levels to make the picture more vibrant.

Self Introduction

Hello welcome to my first blog. My name is Naomi.
I am very interested in art. From abstract, traditional, life sketches to digital drawings/CG art.
In my free time I often draw and do digital pieces in Photoshop with my tablet.
I guess I can say that I am quite devoted to art, especially Japanese art.

I am also interested in Japanese culture and I also play a wide range of musical instruments.
I play piano, violin and a bit of guitar.
I also enjoy listening to music whenever I feel stressed. I would say that music is the best remedy to calm me down x]

My favourite subjects is art and japanese.
Between Xbox and PS3, I prefer PS2 xD
because I never tried xbox or PS3.

Now I would say that Facebook is much better than Myspace and I prefer PC over Mac.
